An improved method of monitoring blood flow in coronary vessels and ventricular function with an implanted blood flow transit sensor and contractility piezoelectric crystal sensors having electrical leads extending external to a patient body and an external electrocardiogram for measuring a cardiac function signal wherein the improvement lies in:

  • communicating signals of the implanted blood flow transit sensor and at least two implanted piezoelectric crystal contractility sensors to an external monitor by an implanted radio frequency transceiver independent of transcutaneous leads.
