1. A device for delivering a drug comprising:

  • a body having a proximal end and a distal end and an opening in the distal end thereof;

    an orifice mechanism at the distal end of the body and communicating with the opening, the orifice mechanism comprising;

    (i) an inner member having a proximal end and a distal end;

    (ii) a winding helically wound around the inner member, the winding comprising a wire, wherein the wire has a width ranging from 0.001–

    0.050 inches; and

    (iii) the winding and the inner member defining a first channel having a helical flow path following the curvature of the winding for carrying a drug therethrough and an inlet at the proximal end of the winding and an outlet at the distal end of the winding, the drug being carried along the helical flow path and being dispensed from the device at the outlet at the distal end of the winding and the opening in the distal end of the body.
