1. A method of bypassing a hollow body organ, comprising:

  • forming a pouch from tissue of a hollow body organ by creating a narrowing incorporating at least two layers of tissue of the hollow body organ to enhance durability;

    securing a proximal end of an artificial tubular member to the pouch formed within the hollow body organ; and

    positioning a distal end of the tubular member such that the distal end is distal of the hollow body organ.
