1. A power monitoring system comprising:
- (a) a first current sensor suitable to sense changing electrical energy within a first conductor to a first load, said first current sensor providing a first signal;
(b) a second current sensor suitable to sense changing electrical energy within another conductor to a second load, said second current sensor providing a second signal;
(c) a first electrical interconnection of a first voltage potential and said first load, said first electrical interconnection comprising said first conductor;
(d) an electrical interconnection of said first voltage potential and said second load, said interconnection not including said first conductor; and
(e) a power monitor that determines,(i) a first power measurement associated with said first load based upon, at least in part, said first signal and said first voltage potential, sensed at a point common to said first interconnection and to said interconnection of said first voltage potential and said second load; and
(ii) a second power measurement associated with said second load based upon, at least in part, said second signal and said first voltage potential, sensed at a point common to said first interconnection and to said interconnection of said first voltage potential and said second load.

Abstract
A power monitoring system for electrical panels providing multi-phase power, with multiple current sensors. The disclosed power monitoring system preferably determines the instantaneous power provided to each of multiple loads by sensing the potential and phase of each conductor that supplies power to one or more of the respective loads.
