1. An array antenna, comprising:
- a plurality of antenna panels configured to transmit and receive signals;
one or more array control elements, each array control element configured to couple to at least one antenna panel or to couple, via a switch, to any one of the panels of the plurality of antenna panels and further configured to process the transmitted and received signals; and
an antenna routing element configured to determine a destination address of a wireless destination receiver, from among a plurality of possible wireless destination receivers, using information included within one or more packets contained in signals received from a wireless source transmitter by one or more of said antenna panels of said plurality of antenna panels, generate packets destined for transmission to the determined wireless destination receiver, and route the generated packets to at least one of said one or more array control elements.
