1. A method of transcutaneously inhibiting viral phenomenon at a person'"'"'s skin comprising the acts of:

  • superimposing an anti-viral signal upon a reversible carrier signal to produce a composite wave having a current less than one milliampere;

    externally applying the less than one milliampere composite wave in one direction to flow across a viral-laden region of the skin between spaced electrodes for a first controlled interval of time whereby the composite wave disrupts viral activity in one flow direction;

    essentially instantaneously reversing the carrier signal component of the composite wave to oppositely flow and externally apply the less than one milliampere composite wave across the viral-laden region between the spaced electrodes for a second controlled interval of time whereby the composite wave disrupts viral activity in a second flow direction.
