1. A system for repairing a thoracic aortic aneurysm comprising:
- a first sealing and anchoring prosthesis, the first sealing and anchoring prosthesis comprising a stent having a substantially tubular body and first and second open ends, gasket material covering at least a portion of the substantially tubular body and at least a portion of both the first and second open ends of the stent, and multiple recapture legs each extending from apexes of the stent and having a flange, the flange including at least two projections extending substantially orthogonal from the each recapture leg, the first sealing and anchoring prosthesis being positionable above an aneurismal section of a first blood vessel;
a second sealing and anchoring prosthesis, the second sealing and anchoring prosthesis comprising a stent having a substantially tubular body and first and second open ends, gasket material covering at least a portion of the substantially tubular body and at least a portion of both the first and second open ends of the stent and multiple recapture legs each extending from apexes of the stent and having a flange, the flange including at least two projections extending substantially orthogonal from the each recapture leg, the second sealing and anchoring prosthesis being positionable below an aneurismal section of the first blood vessel, the first and second sealing and anchoring prostheses being configured to be positioned with their respective legs facing the same direction; and
at least one bypass prosthesis, the at least one bypass prosthesis comprising a substantially tubular configuration having first and second ends, the first end being matingly engaged with the first sealing and anchoring prosthesis and the second end being matingly engaged with the second sealing and anchoring prosthesis, the first sealing and anchoring prosthesis, the second sealing and anchoring prosthesis and the at least one bypass prosthesis being configured to create a fluid flow path through an aneurismal section of the first blood vessel.

Abstract
The invention is a system, apparatus, and method for treating or repairing, an aneurysm in a large vessel, such as a thoracic aneurysm. The systems, devices, and methods of the present invention include a first prosthesis for anchoring a proximal end of the system in the blood vessel, a second prosthesis for anchoring a distal end of the system, and at least one third second prosthesis for bypassing the aneurysm, the first prosthesis optionally further comprising a seat or the like adapted and configured to receive the third prosthesis.
