1. A golf ball comprising:

  • a core center component, the core center component composed of a thermoplastic material selected from the group consisting of polyether block amide, a nylon-ionomer blend, a polycarbonate and a polyester elastomer;

    a core layer disposed about said core center component, the core layer comprising a polybutadiene material;

    an inner cover layer disposed on said core layer, said inner cover layer having a Shore D hardness of less than 45; and

    an outer cover layer disposed on said inner cover layer, said outer cover layer comprising a polyurethane material, said outer cover layer having a Shore D hardness of at least 50.
