Color filter manufacturing method and apparatus, ink-jet device, color filter, display device, and apparatus having display device
First Claim
1. A method of manufacturing a color filter having a plurality of colored pixels on a substrate by discharging an ink having a color other than black from an ink-jet head having a plurality of ink discharging nozzles while performing relative movement of said ink-jet head and the substrate, comprising the steps of:
- dividing the plurality of ink discharging nozzles for discharging the ink having a same color other than black into a plurality of nozzle groups, with each nozzle group comprising every N nozzles, N being a positive integer; and
in coloring one substrate by performing the relative movement a plurality of times, performing an ink discharging operation such that inks are discharged by using only one nozzle group of the plurality of nozzle groups in the plural relative movements, and that ink discharging nozzles which are used in a subsequent relative movement always comprise all of, or part of, ink discharging nozzles which have been used in a previous relative movement.

Abstract
A method of manufacturing a color filter having a plurality of colored pixels on a substrate by discharging an ink from an ink-jet head having a plurality of ink discharging nozzles while performing relative movement of the ink-jet head and the substrate, includes the step of dividing the plurality of ink discharging nozzles for discharging the ink having a same color into a plurality of nozzle groups, each nozzle group including every N nozzles, with N being a positive integer. In coloring one substrate by performing the relative movement a plurality of times, an ink discharging operation is performed such that inks are discharged by using only one nozzle group of the plurality of nozzle groups in the plural relative movements, and ink discharging nozzles which are used in a subsequent relative movement always include all of, or part of, ink discharging nozzles which have been used in a previous relative movement.

3. A method of manufacturing a color filter having a plurality of colored pixels on a substrate, comprising the steps of:
-
performing relative movement of the substrate and the ink-jet heads corresponding to different colors other than black, each of the ink-jet heads having a plurality of nozzle groups corresponding to a same color, with each nozzle group comprising every N nozzles, N being a positive integer; and forming the colored pixels having different colors by discharging inks having different colors from respective ink-jet heads onto the pixels of the substrate while performing the relative movement a plurality of times; wherein, in coloring one substrate by plural relative movements in said forming step, inks having different colors are discharged by using only one nozzle group for respective nozzle groups corresponding to respective different colors in the plural relative movements, and ink discharging nozzles which are used in a subsequent relative movement always comprise all of, or part of, ink discharging nozzles which have been used in a previous relative movement. - View Dependent Claims (5)
