1. A medical device for electrophysiology procedures, comprising:

  • a catheter having a braided conductive member at a distal end thereof;

    a mechanism that expands the braided conductive member from an undeployed to a deployed position, wherein the braided conductive member forms a disk in the deployed position; and

    a temperature sensing device attached to the braided conductive member, wherein the temperature sensing device is bonded in a parallel manner with a filament of the braided conductive member.
