1. A spread spectrum cellular phone, comprising:

  • radio circuitry configured to communicate in a particular cellular frequency band and in a second frequency band that is not the particular cellular frequency band, the radio circuitry supporting cellular phone communications and wireless local area network communications;

    a first antenna operatively coupled to the radio circuitry;

    a second antenna operatively coupled to the radio circuitry; and

    a processor operatively coupled to the first antenna and the second antenna, the processor being configured to select at least one of the first antenna and the second antenna.
