1. A lead configured for measuring pressure in a heart comprising:

  • a lead body;

    a first elastic disk membrane attached to a distal portion of the lead body and adapted to attach the lead body to a first side of a septal wall in a heart, the first elastic disk membrane maneuvered to lie relatively flat against the first side of the septal wall to minimize likelihood of blood clot formation;

    a second elastic disk membrane distal to the first elastic disk membrane, the second elastic disk membrane attached to the distal portion of the lead body and adapted to attach the lead body to a second side of the septal wall in the heart, the second elastic disk membrane maneuvered to lie relatively flat against the second side of the septal wall to minimize likelihood of blood clot formation; and

    at least one pressure sensor attached to the distal portion of the lead body and adapted to measure pressure at the second side of the septal wall in the heart;

    wherein the second elastic disk membrane comprises at least one flexible diaphragm, the lead comprising at least one lumen wherein the at least one lumen is filled with a fluid, wherein the fluid in communication with the at least one flexible diaphragm, and wherein the fluid is in communication with the at least one pressure sensor; and

    wherein the second elastic disk membrane and the at least one flexible diaphragm are integral.
