1. A computerized method executed in a server, the server including a processor and a memory, the method comprising:

  • providing selected transmission coverage for one or more transmissions over a communications network, wherein the coverage, in the event of a failure of a transmission of data across the network, becomes payable as a selected coverage amount;

    verifying a completion status of the one or more transmissions, wherein the verifying includes determining whether each of the one or more transmissions was successfully transmitted and received;

    logging data pertaining to the completion status into a logging data structure in a database in the server;

    receiving a plurality of failed-transmission-coverage claims;

    authenticating each one of the plurality of claims based, at least in part, upon the data contained in the logging data structure; and

    generating a claim report based upon information tracked in the database.
