1. An occluder for preventing flow in an infusion set comprising:

  • a body having a first end and a second end and having a cylindrical bore therethrough connecting the first end and the second end and defining round openings at the first end and second end, the first end being configured for disposition in a tube of an infusion set;

    a stop configured for disposition in the tube to thereby selectively allow and prevent flow through the infusion set, the stop having a first end, a second end, and a middle portion therebetween, the middle portion of the body having a diameter greater than the first end and the second end of the stop; and

    a plurality of arms connecting the stop to the body, the plurality of arms being attached to the first end of the body without blocking the bore through the body and without blocking the opening of the bore at the first end of the body, the arms being attached to the first end of the stop; and

    wherein the occluder is configured for disposition in a tube having a smooth bore of consistent diameter in the area of the tube functionally associated with the occluder.
