Abstract
An optical fiber cable management panel includes drawer assemblies, each including a drawer slidable within a chassis. The drawer assemblies are secured together by a bracket that includes an interlock arrangement with the chassis. Such an interlock arrangement includes a non-threaded stud engaging a hole. Radius limiters may be part of the drawer assembly and include a cable entry aperture have a closed perimeter and a flared cable guide surface around most of, and preferably all of, the closed perimeter to allow for the entry of cables from all directions. A control mechanism controls movement of the radius limiter relative to the drawer assembly. The control mechanism includes a rotating member that has an axis of rotation transverse to the slidable motion of the radius limiter and normal to the radius limiter.

12. A radius limiter, comprising:
-
a) a two piece construction including; i) a frame piece that defines a curved trough section; and ii) a hinged cover piece attached to the frame piece at a hinge point, the hinged cover piece including; 1) a finger portion that extends across the curved trough section of the frame piece; and 2) a flared portion interconnected to the finger portion; b) wherein the flared portion of the hinged cover piece and the curved trough section of the frame piece define a cable entry aperture having a closed, contoured perimeter that limits the bend of cables entering and exiting the cable entry aperture. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19)

20. A control mechanism for synchronizing movement between a cable management device and a drawer that slide relative to a chassis, the control mechanism comprising:
-
a) an elongated bracket having a first end and a second end, the bracket including; i) a projection arrangement located at the first end of the bracket, the projection arrangement being configured to mount a cable management device relative to the bracket; and ii) a catch located at the second end of the bracket, the catch being arranged to limit movement of the drawer relative to the chassis; b) an axle that defines an axis of rotation; and c) a wheel mounted on the axle, the wheel being free to rotate about the axis of rotation, the wheel extending outward from the bracket to providing an interface during sliding operation of the drawer relative to the chassis; d) wherein during such sliding operation, the control mechanism synchronizes movement of the cable management device relative to the sliding movement of the drawer. - View Dependent Claims (21, 22, 23, 24)
