1. A method of adjustably mounting a flat panel display to a fixed structure comprising steps of:

  • attaching a device interface portion, including a frusto-spherical shell with a flange portion, to the flat panel display, the flange portion extending radially outwardly from the frusto-spherical portion, the flange portion further including structure for receiving at least one fastener to attach the device interface portion to the flat panel display, the flat panel display having a center of gravity, the shell having an outwardly facing convex outer surface with a generally constant radius of curvature and an inner surface, said radius of curvature having a center proximate the center of gravity;

    operably coupling the device interface portion to a guide portion, said guide portion having a first bearing portion engaging and guiding the outer surface of the frusto-spherical shell and a second bearing portion engaging and guiding the inner surface of the frusto-spherical shell, the flat panel display being rotatable about a multiplicity of axes oriented generally parallel to the flange and extending through the center of said radius of curvature; and

    coupling the guide portion to the fixed structure.
