1. A liquid crystal display device, comprising:
- a first substrate including a thin film transistor array;
a second substrate facing with the first substrate, wherein the second substrate has a color filter array including a black matrix layer, a color filter layer and a common electrode;
a sealant outside a liquid crystal display panel region between the first and second substrates, the sealant being free of a glass fiber;
a first column spacer completely embedded in the sealant, wherein the first column spacer is formed on the common electrode on the second substrate; and
a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates;
wherein the sealant completely surrounds the perimeter of the liquid crystal display panel region.
