1. An electrochromic mirror comprising:

  • a glass substrate on one side thereof;

    a transparent conductive film formed on the back of the glass substrate;

    an electrochromic layer formed on the back of the transparent conductive film;

    a reflection and electrode film formed on the back of the electrochromic layer;

    the electrochromic layer and the reflection and electrode film being covered from the back thereof with an ion shielding oxide film comprising Al2O3 or Ta2O5 for preventing atmospheric ions from intruding into the electrochromic layer; and

    an additional ion shielding oxide film comprising Al2O3 or Ta2O5;

    the additional ion shielding oxide film being interposed between the glass substrate and the transparent conductive film for preventing ions from intruding from the glass substrate to the inside of the electrochromic layer.
