1. A method for a radio receiver to deliver analog audio signal, comprising:

  • demodulating radio frequency signal to obtain a stream of digital data, the digital data comprising at least a first and a second audio program, the first audio program comprising a first set of compressed digital audio data compressed using a first compression ratio, the second audio program comprising a second set of compressed digital audio data compressed using a second compression ratio, the second compression ratio being higher than the first compression ratio;

    determining a selection of one of the audio programs by a user;

    if the user selects the first audio program, decompressing the first set of compressed digital audio data to generate a first set of decompressed digital data and converting the first set of decompressed digital data to a first analog signal; and

    if the user selects the second audio program, decompressing the second set of compressed digital audio data to generate a second set of decompressed digital data and converting the second set of decompressed digital data to a second analog signal.
