wherein said second electrode plate and said fourth electrode plate are conductively isolated from one another; and
wherein said first electrode plate, said third electrode plate, and said fifth electrode plate are conductively isolated from said second electrode plate and said fourth electrode plate.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a multi-functional energy conditioner having architecture employed in conjunction with various dielectric and combinations of dielectric materials to provide one or more differential and common mode filters for the suppression of electromagnetic emissions and surge protection. The architecture allows single or multiple components to be assembled within a single package such as an integrated circuit or connector. a plurality of common electrode plates comprising a first common electrode plate, a second common electrode plate, and a third common electrode plate; wherein said first common electrode plate, said second common electrode plate, and said third common electrode plate are conductively coupled to one another; a plurality of paired electrode plates comprising a first pair of paired electrode plates; wherein said first pair of paired electrode plates consists of a first electrode plate and a second electrode plate; wherein said first electrode plate and said second electrode are conductively isolated from each other; a plurality of paired conductors comprising a first pair of paired conductors; wherein said first pail- of paired conductors consists of a first conductor and a second conductor; wherein said first conductor is conductively isolated from said second conductor; wherein said first common electrode plate has certain dimensions; a conductive element having a substantial surface area relative to said certain dimensions of said first common electrode plate; wherein said first conductor is conductively coupled to said first electrode plate; wherein said second conductor is conductively coupled to said second electrode plate; wherein said plurality of common electrode plates are conductively coupled to said conductive element; and wherein said plurality of common electrode plates and said conductive element are conductively isolated from said first pair of paired electrode plates and said first pair of paired conductors. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21)
