1. An anastomosis device for connecting a graft vessel to a target vessel, comprising:

  • a deployable section extending about a longitudinal axis, wherein at least a portion of said deployable section is configured to expand in both longitudinal and radial directions simultaneously during deployment, wherein said deployable section comprises a plurality of outer flange arms at its proximal end;

    a plurality of tines extending generally distally from said deployable section;

    at least one horn extending from said deployable section and positioned next to the proximal end of at least one said tine, wherein each said horn is oriented inward in a direction substantially perpendicular to said deployable section at the location on said deployable section from which said horn extends and oriented substantially toward said longitudinal axis of said deployable section; and

    a discard section detachably connected to said deployable section, wherein said discard section comprises a plurality of spreader arms, the distal end of each said spreader arm connected to at least one outer flange arm and the proximal end of each spreader arm connected to at least one strut.
