Color management
First Claim
1. A method of deriving a colour space transformation lookup table comprising applying an editing technique to data and applying a conversion technique to data, wherein the editing technique is applied to data in a colour space selected by the user, referred to as Start space (S space) or End space (E space), by encapsulating the effects of global or selective colour changes in Start space or End space into a model designed to carry out a specific colour space transformation to an image, using a global or selective colour algorithm, and using the model to incorporate the global or selective edits into A to B, B to A and B to B transformations, where edits are specified by the user in S space or E space coordinates, by constructing a multidimensional lookup table wherein a plurality of entries contain the transformation values for equally spaced S space or E space coordinates which apply the transformation to the original image data, where an A to B transformation converts data from S space to an intermediate space (I space), a B to A transformation converts data from an I space to E space, and B to B transformation converts data from I space to I space.
