1. An inkjet drop ejection apparatus comprising:

  • a chamber with a nozzle;

    a piston;

    a magnetic actuator including a solenoid, a fixed magnetic pole, and a movable magnetic pole;

    a lever arm connecting the piston to the movable magnetic pole; and

    a fulcrum positioned alone the lever arm, whereinthe solenoid is operable to induce a magnetic field in the fixed magnetic pole so as to attract and repel the movable magnetic pole in relation to the fixed magnetic pole, andthe fulcrum is positioned along the lever arm to effect movement of the piston in accordance with an attraction and repulsion of the fixed magnetic pole with the movable magnetic pole, the movement of the piston being adapted to eject drops of ink through the nozzle.
