1. A pelvic implant assembly comprising:
- an acetabular cup at least partially attachable to an acetabulum of the pelvis;
an acetabular bearing coupled to an inner surface of the acetabular cup; and
a compliant fixator implantable into the pelvis, the compliant fixator coupled to an outer surface of the acetabular cup, the compliant fixator including;
a sleeve;
a biasing element received and contained within the sleeve; and
a biasing mechanism operable to expand and contract the biasing element and provide a dynamic load to the pelvis, wherein the biasing element includes a plurality of Belleville washers, and the biasing mechanism includes a nut threadable on a portion of a traction rod axially passing through the sleeve and engageable to the pelvis;
a connector coupling the compliant fixator and the acetabular cup; and
a plate coupled to the connector.
