1. A disposable optical probe comprising:

  • disposable electronic elements including a plurality of conductors, at least one emitter and a detector, wherein at least some of the conductors electrically communicate with the at least one emitter and others of the conductors electrically communicate with the detector and wherein the detector is configured to detect light attenuated by body tissue at a measurement site;

    disposable non-tape noise reducer including a element configured to materially reduce an effect of ambient light and electromagnetic noise on the detector;

    disposable flexible base tape adhesively positioning said electronic elements with respect to the noise reducer, wherein the flexible base tape is different from the non-tape noise reducer and configured to removably attach said optical probe to the measurement site; and

    disposable cover tape different from the non-tape noise reducer and sandwiching the electronic elements and the noise reducer between the cover tape and the base tape.
