1. A method of mobility management in a radio local area network (RLAN) comprising:
- providing the RLAN for conducting code division multiple access (CDMA) wireless communications in a RLAN service region, the RLAN including;
transmitting signals to establish UE connections within a portion of said RLAN service region with a base station;
controlling base station communication with a Radio Network Controller (RNC) coupled with said base station; and
a Radio Access Network Internet Protocol (RAN IP) Gateway coupled with said RNC having a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connection with the Internet and being configured to communicate Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) function information to a Core Network;
the base station transmitting signals to establish a wireless connection between a first UE within said selected portion of said RLAN service region and a second UE outside of said RLAN service region for conducting a communication of user data;
conducting AAA functions for said communication of user data using said Core Network;
using said General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connection with the Internet for transporting user data of said communication between said first and second UEs; and
continuing said wireless communication between said first and second UEs as said second UE moves within said RLAN service region which includes discontinuing use of said General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connection with the Internet for transporting user data.

3. A method of mobility management using a radio local area network (RLAN) comprising:
-
providing the RLAN configured to conduct code division multiple access (CDMA) wireless communications in a RLAN service region, the RLAN including; transmitting signals to establish UE connections within a portion of said RLAN service region with a base station; controlling base station communication with a Radio Network Controller (RNC) coupled with said base station; and a Radio Access Network Internet Protocol (RAN IP) Gateway coupled with said RNC having a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connection with the Internet and being configured to tunnel Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) function information through the Internet to a Core Network; the base station transmitting signals to establish a wireless connection between a home UE and a second UE for conducting a communication of user data; conducting AAA functions for said communication of user data using said Core Network by using said General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connection with the Internet to tunnel AAA function information through the Internet to said Core Network; and continuing said wireless communication between said home and second UEs as said second UE moves within said RLAN service region which includes discontinuing use of said General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connection with the Internet for transporting user data. - View Dependent Claims (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12)
