1. A plasma display apparatus comprising:

  • a front substrate where a first electrode is formed in parallel with a second electrode;

    a rear substrate where a third electrode is formed to intersect with the first electrode and the second electrode;

    a first barrier rib and a second barrier rib that form a discharge cell by intersecting with each other between the front substrate and the rear substrate; and

    a first black layer formed in a position corresponding to the second barrier rib on the front substrate,wherein the second barrier rib is formed in parallel with the first electrode and the second electrode,wherein each of the first electrode and the second electrode is separately disposed into a direction of a center of the discharge cell from an edge of an upper portion of the second barrier rib, and a longest distance between the first electrode and the second electrode ranges from 0.5 times to 1 times of a distance between edges of upper portions of the adjacent second barrier ribs, andwherein the first black layer is separated from the first electrode and the second electrode.
