1. An apparatus, comprising:
- a motor positioned downhole;
a first transformer having a primary winding coupled to power input of the motor; and
a downhole logging line cable to couple to the primary winding of the first transformer to receive shunt current determined by an inductance associated with the first transformer and a capacitance associated with the downhole logging line cable according to a sensed component of power distributed by the downhole logging line cable through the first transformer, wherein the shunt current is received as part of power dissipation from power that is in excess of power required to operate the motor, wherein the shunt current into the primary winding of the first transformer is to dissipate the excess of power into the downhole logging cable.
