1. A specific binding analysis device for performing a qualitative or quantitative analysis of an analyte contained in a sample, said device comprising:

  • a first glass capillary tube having;

    first and second open ends,a first cavity that includes a detection zone in which a specific binding substance capable of binding an analyte is immobilized, andwherein said first open end serves as an opening portion for applying a sample containing said analyte; and

    a second glass capillary tube having;

    first and second open ends,a second cavity, andwherein said second glass capillary tube has a smaller cross-sectional area than said first glass capillary tube; and

    wherein said second glass capillary tube is inserted into said second end of said first glass capillary tube and an outer surface of said second glass capillary tube is hermetically bonded to an inner surface of said first glass capillary tube; and

    wherein said sample applied to said opening portion moves, by capillarity, to said detection zone in said first cavity to cause a specific binding reaction, and a signal attributed to said specific binding reaction is detected to perform a qualitative or quantitative analysis.
