1. A radio communication device that manages a wireless network, comprising:
- management information acquiring means for acquiring management information in the network of the radio communication device;
reception region allocating means for allocating reception regions specific to each radio communication device participating in the network of the radio communication device according to said management information;
allocation information transmitting means for transmitting allocation information on reception regions for the individual stations in the network of the radio communication device to the individual stations; and
radio frame cycle setting means for setting a radio frame cycle in the network of the radio communication device, whereinsaid allocation information transmitting means describes allocation information on reception regions for the individual stations in a beacon signal at the start of the radio frame cycle, andsaid reception region allocating means modifies the arrangement of reception regions specific to the individual stations and reception regions common to all the stations according to the load of communications traffic in the network.

Abstract
A radio communication device that manages a network defines a predetermined transmission frame cycle, allocates in the frame specific access slots as timing with which the individual radio communication devices in the network concerned receive a transmission, puts the information of the allocation in a beacon signal, and transmits the signal. Each radio communication device performs a receiving operation at access slots specific to the device itself defined by the beacon signal. When information transmission is made between arbitrary communication devices in the network, access slots for the device that is to receive the information are used.

2. A radio communication method for managing a wireless network, comprising:

a management information acquiring step for acquiring management information in the network; a reception region allocating step for allocating reception regions specific to stations that participate in the network, according to said management information; and an allocation information transmitting step for transmitting allocation information on reception regions for the individual stations in the network to the individual stations, in the reception region allocating step, reception regions common to all the stations that participate in the concerned are further allocated, in said allocation information transmitting step, allocation information on reception regions specific to the individual stations in the network and allocation information on reception regions common to all the stations are transmitted to the individual stations, and in said reception region allocating step, the arrangement of reception regions specific to the individual stations and reception regions common to all the stations is modified according to the load of communications traffic in the network.
