16. A method of performing formation evaluation via a downhole drilling tool positionable in a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation, the method comprising:
-
establishing fluid communication between a fixed portion of the downhole drilling tool and a first portion of the formation; drawing a first sample of formation fluid from the formation and into the fixed portion; passing the first sample of formation fluid from the fixed portion to a first one of a plurality of sample chambers in a retrievable portion of the downhole drilling tool; disestablishing fluid communication between the fixed portion of the downhole drilling tool and the first portion of the formation and establishing fluid communication between the fixed portion of the downhole drilling tool and a second portion of the formation; drawing a second sample of formation fluid from the formation and into the fixed portion; passing the second sample of formation fluid from the fixed portion to a second one of the plurality of sample chambers in the retrievable portion of the downhole drilling tool; and retrieving the retrievable portion of the downhole drilling tool to a surface location, thereby simultaneously retrieving to the surface location the first and second samples of formation fluid in the first and second ones of the plurality of sample chambers. - View Dependent Claims (17, 18, 19, 20, 21)
