1. A method for providing information associated with at least one portion of a sample, comprising:

  • encoding at least two wavelengths of at least one particular electro-magnetic radiation provided on a sample, each of the at least two wavelengths being utilized to determine at least one respective transverse location of a plurality of transverse location of the at least one portion;

    obtaining at least one relative phase between at least one first electro-magnetic radiation electro-magnetic radiation being returned from the sample and at least one second electro-magnetic radiation returned from a reference to determine at least one relative depth location of the at least one portion; and

    providing the information of the at least one portion based on each of the transverse locations and the at least one relative depth location.
