1. A transmitter system comprising:

  • a first signal processor for receiving a digital binary input signal and formatting said input signal into at least two baseband signal, each including an I and a Q component;

    a pair of pass-band filters for each said baseband signal for filtering said I and Q components in a respective frequency band;

    a second signal processor for further processing and shaping said I and Q components;

    at least two quadrature modulators for modulating said I and Q components to provide a first and a second quadrature modulated RF signal;

    at least two power amplifiers for amplifying said quadrature modulated RF signals to provide amplified RF signals; and

    an antenna array with at least two antenna elements for transmitting said respective amplified RF signals,wherein said first signal processor comprises a cross-correlator for providing a selectable amount of cross-correlation between said I and Q components of any of said baseband signals.
