1. An abnormal voltage detection apparatus for use in an assembled battery comprising a plurality of battery blocks connected in series to each other, said abnormal voltage detection apparatus detecting voltage abnormality in said assembled battery, each battery block comprising at least one secondary battery, said abnormal voltage detection apparatus comprising:

  • a plurality of signal detectors each provided in each of said battery blocks, each of said signal detectors;

    detecting either one of voltage abnormality and normality of said each battery block based on a voltage of said each battery block,generating an abnormality detecting signal containing information about either detected one of the voltage abnormality and normality, andoutputting the abnormality detecting signal, wherein said signal detectors simultaneously detect the respective voltages of said battery blocks;

    a signal generator connected with the plurality of signal detectors to receive the abnormality detecting signals, the signal generator generating an abnormality detecting information signal containing information about whether or not a voltage abnormality is present in any of said battery blocks based on the abnormality detecting signals; and

    a first transmission device directly connected to the abnormality detecting information signal generated by the signal generator, the first transmission device having an input terminal pair and an output terminal pair which are electrically insulated from each other, said first transmission device transmitting the abnormality detecting information signal to an external apparatus, wherein the abnormality detecting information signal turns the first transmission device on when any of said battery blocks has a voltage abnormality and wherein the abnormality detecting information signal turns the first transmission device off when none of the plurality of signal detectors detect voltage abnormality in the battery blocks.
