Write-once optical disc, and method and apparatus for recording/reproducing management information on/from optical disc
First Claim
1. An apparatus of recording management information on a recording medium, the recording medium including one or more temporary management areas being used in a designated order for storing the management information before the recording medium is finalized, wherein the recording medium includes one or more access indicators allocated to one of the temporary management areas and corresponding respectively to the temporary management areas except a first temporary management area being used first, the apparatus comprising:
- a pickup unit adapted to directly record data on the recording medium; and
a microcomputer coupled to the pickup unit and configured to control the pickup unit to record onto an access indicator corresponding to a temporary management area, latest temporary disc definition structure (TDDS) information recorded in the temporary management area when the temporary management area becomes available.
