- determining an emotional state criterion;
selecting an incoming call screening treatment for a call to a called communication device based on the emotional state criterion;
receiving an indication of a first emotional state for incoming calls from a first calling party;
storing an association between the first emotional state and the first calling party;
receiving an indication of a second emotional state for incoming calls from a second calling party; and
storing an association between the second emotional state and the second calling party;
wherein the step of selecting the incoming call screening treatment for the call to the called communication device based on the emotional state criterion input comprises the steps of;
instructing the switching center to perform a first incoming call screening treatment associated with the first emotional state if the call is from the first calling party; and
instructing the switching center to perform a second incoming call screening treatment associated with the second emotional state if the call is from the second calling party.
