1. A computer implemented method to profile a mission, comprising:
- integrating mission components in a computer system;
associating the mission components to metadata stored in a database in a memory of the computer system;
defining in the metadata, using the computer system, at least two mission components to participate in the mission;
defining in the metadata, using the computer system, functionality of the at least two mission components during the mission;
defining in the metadata, using the computer system, communications between the at least two mission components during the mission;
transferring, using the computer system, messages from the at least two mission components during the mission;
monitoring the messages, using the computer system; and
determining, using the computer system, a status of the mission based on the messages and the metadata.
