1. A semiconductor light emitting device, comprising:

  • a transparent substrate which has a wiring pattern;

    a wavelength change material provided on the transparent substrate and being in contact with the transparent substrate;

    a semiconductor light emitting element having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, the semiconductor light emitting element having a first electrode on the first surface and a second electrode on the first surface, the second surface of the semiconductor light emitting element being in contact with the wavelength change material,wherein the first electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected to the wiring pattern, and a light emitted from the semiconductor light emitting element is extracted toward a direction from the first surface to the second surface.
