1. A method for monitoring a remote location via a central server, comprising:

  • determining, by the central server and based on information received from a video camera located at a remote location, an image of the remote location;

    providing, by the central server, an indication of the image to a remote device operated by a remote user;

    determining, by the central server and via the remote user device, a response of the remote user to the indication of the image; and

    determining, by the central server and based on the response, a status of the remote location, wherein the status of the remote location is determined to be a first status if the response is a first response, and a second status if the response is a second response.
