1. A method of deploying an implantable device comprising:
- providing an expandable implant having a first end and a second end, the expandable implant having a collapsed configuration and a radially enlarged configuration, the expandable implant being biased to its radially enlarged configuration, wherein a first engagement member is attached to the first end of the implant and a second engagement member is attached to the second end of the implant, each engagement member having the same diameter;
rotating the second engagement member with respect to the first engagement member with the first engagement member and second engagement member remaining attached to the first and second ends of the implant, respectively, such that the first engagement member and second engagement member become more axially engaged in order to control a radial expansion of the implantable device,wherein the first and second engagement members are disengaged in the collapsed configuration, and further comprising axially engaging the first engagement member with the second engagement member by allowing the expandable implant to expand under its bias to the radially enlarged configuration.
