1. A device to determine a position of an asset, comprising:
- at least one accelerometer, configured to measure linear acceleration of the asset along at least one axis;
a wireless communication apparatus;
a processor, coupled to a signal conditioner; and
a memory, coupled to the processor, for storing accelerometer-calibration factors, a transformation matrix, and instructions executable by the processor including;
instructions to adjust the linear acceleration as measured by the at least one accelerometer, based on the accelerometer-calibration factors,instructions to determine a position of the asset, based on the adjusted linear acceleration and the transformation matrix, andinstructions to transmit the position of the asset via the wireless communication apparatus.

In particular, the present invention provides systems for monitoring the location of a large group of assets.
