  • (a) administering an envirosensitive liposome composition to a subject, the composition comprising;

    (i) a contrast agent;

    (ii) a compound of interest; and

    (iii) an envirosensitive liposome encapsulating the contrast agent and the compound of interest; and

    (b) monitoring the localization and distribution of the compound of interest to a desired site by magnetic resonance imaging, wherein the monitoring comprises monitoring release of the contents of the liposome at the desired site by monitoring an increase in the presence of the contrast agent released from the liposome at the desired site as the contents of the liposome are being released at the desired site.
