1. A method of implanting a cardiac lead, the method comprising:

  • advancing an outer lead portion into a coronary vessel, the outer lead portion having a longitudinal lumen and a terminal connector located at a proximal end, wherein the terminal connector defines an internal bore and is adapted to couple with a cardiac function management device;

    advancing a conductive member of an inner lead portion through the longitudinal lumen until it extends beyond a distal end of the outer lead portion, then advancing the pin over the conductive member until a pin mechanically engages with the internal bore of the terminal connector and the pin attaches to a proximal end of the conductive member.
