1. A computer-implemented method of identifying a plurality of geographic locations that have the greatest similarity in at least one lifestyle characteristic to a user selected location, the method comprising the steps of:

  • calculating a numeric value that represents a quantitative representation at which said at least one lifestyle characteristic exists in each of said plurality of locations and associating said value with each of said plurality of locations;

    providing a data base containing said plurality of geographic locations and said values associated with each of said geographic locations;

    allowing a user to select a first geographic location from the data base;

    comparing the numeric value associated with said first geographic location in the data base with the numeric values associated with each of the other locations in the data base to determine the overall dissimilarities in said numeric; and

    generating an ordered list of geographic locations that are most similar to the first location based on the smallest dissimilarities in said numeric values.
