1. A method for determining pregnancy of a ruminant and/or ungulate animal, the method comprising:

  • (a) testing a fluid or cell derived from said animal for the presence of at least one Group A antigen selected from the group consisting of interferon-tau induced proteins, Bovine Antigen Glycoprotein (BAG), Early Pregnancy Factor (EPF), Pregnancy Specific Protein B (PSPB). and Pregnancy Associated Glycoproteins 1, 4, 5 and 9 (PAG-1, PAG-4, PAG-5, and PAG-9 or Group B antigen selected from the group consisting of estrone sulfate, pregnancy serum protein 60 (PSP-60 pregnancy-associated glycoproteins 6 and 7 (PAG-6 and PAG-7), and pregnancy-specific protein B (PSP-B);

    (b) testing a fluid or cell derived from said animal for the presence of progesterone;

    (c) determining that the animal is pregnant if testing is positive for the presence of at least one of said Group A or Group B antigens and progesterone; and

    (d) determining that the animal is not pregnant if testing is negative for the presence of progesterone.
