- a barrier;
a sensor system mounted on a segment of the barrier and configured to receive an acceleration signal for an event, process an acceleration pattern contained in the acceleration signal to determine if the event is a threat, responsive to determining that the event is a threat generate and transmit a threat message identifying the event; and
a control system coupled to the sensor system by a communication link and configured to receive and process the threat message to determine a response to the event.
