1. A method for enabling a switched virtual circuit connection between a client device and a host device through a telecommunications network, the method comprising:
- receiving, at the host device, a dynamic request from the client device to establish the switched virtual circuit connection;
requesting, by the host device, a setup of the switched virtual circuit connection; and
dynamically configuring a host customer premises equipment device using a custom module designed for the host customer premises equipment device in response to the client device requesting the setup of the switched virtual circuit connection within a predetermined time of the host device requesting the setup of the switched virtual circuit connection,wherein the configured host customer premises equipment device enables communication between the client device and the host device via the switched virtual circuit connection, andwherein the host device resides at a host site and the host customer premises equipment device resides at the host site.
