1. A work vehicle including:
- a chassis;
a ground engaging mechanism configured to support and propel the chassis;
an engine coupled to the ground engaging mechanism to power the ground engaging mechanism;
a work tool supported by the chassis to move material; and
a control system having an idle function configured to operate the engine in a first idle state for a first period of time, and to operate the engine in a second idle state after the first period of time expires, the engine operating at a lower speed in the second idle state than in the first idle state.
