1. A method for exchanging information with results of a recognition process comprising the steps of:
- sending information to a recognition result object; and
performing an operation in response to said sending step, wherein;
said information comprises at least one stroke of electronic ink;
said at least one stroke having associated with it at least a first recognizer and a second recognizer different from said first recognizer; and
said operation includes processing each stroke and translating each stroke into text or gesture.

Abstract
The present invention relates to interfacing with electronic ink. Ink is stored in a data structure that permits later retrieval by applications. The ink includes stroke information and may include property information. Through various programming interfaces, one may interact with the ink through methods and setting or retrieving properties. Other objects and collections may be used as well in conjunction with the ink objects.
