1. A computer-implemented method comprising:

  • receiving black box information obtained from an event data recorder of a first vehicle involved in a collision, at a computer system remote from the first vehicle, the black box information including first information regarding a first collision involving the first vehicle and a second vehicle or other object and second information regarding a second collision involving the first vehicle and a third vehicle or other object;

    determining a sequence of events between the first and second collisions in the computer system using the first information and the second information;

    reporting the sequence of events from the computer system;

    determining in the computer system whether human factors played a role in the first collision, including determining a distance from when brakes of the first vehicle were applied until the first collision occurred using the first information that includes an indication of when the brakes were applied and a velocity of the first vehicle at such time; and

    generating a report on the human factors in the computer system based on the determined distance and information obtained independently of the event data recorder regarding a scene of the first collision, wherein the human factors include delayed action.
